July!

Hello everyone! We hope that you all had a great month of July!  Here are some of the highlights of our past month:

The 4th of July: Holidays are the best!  We started out the 4th of July early with the parade. I have been pretty impressed with the parades here in Wisconsin.  Tons of candy and lots of entertainment. We enjoyed it with the Lofgrans and the Wallis'.

We then headed to Lake Aizen!  Our awesome Landlord has big parties a few times during the summer at his pool.  Tons of yummy food and lots of fun people.

After the pool we headed back to our place and had some fun playing games and eating more yummy food.  We then went to the top of the parking structure at the med school to watch the different fireworks around the valley.  It didn't last long before Ab's needed a potty break.  After fireworks we ended the night with another fun game with the Lofgrans.

Meet the Oharian Sister!

One night when I was hurrying to get dinner done for us and the missionaries when there was a knock at the door.  There stood two sweet ladies smiling and giggling.  They went on to explain that they had grown up in our little green house.  Their parents had built it in the 50's for $9,000; their parents lived in it the whole time until a couple of years ago when they couldn't keep up with it due to age. The sisters were in town for their sweet mother's funeral and decided to stop by to see if they could come in. It was a lot of fun to chat with them and hear lots of memories about their childhood.  I loved to hear about the stories of different patched holes and markings on some of the walls.  We had a great visit.

The Big Girl Bed:

Our baby girl has upgraded to a big girl bed!  (AKA her crib without the front :)  It was definitely time to move her up in the world.  We were fortunate enough to make it this long without her trying to climb out.  But the day came on July 16th: she figured out how to get out.  So we thought we'd better take the front off before she hurt herself.  She loves it!  Well, she loves it until the middle of the night, when she often ends up climbing into our bed!

This summer we have been blessed with lots of time spent with the Barry Family.  They are a cute family who were here just for a couple of months for an internship.  Abigail and Aminoa became great friends.  We were sad to see them go back to Utah.  We decided we needed to do something big before they left us so we headed to the beach.  The girls had a ton of fun in the sand, and as usual I highly enjoyed my time chatting with Vania.  We crossing our fingers that they end up moving here for a job in a year!

2 New Nephews!!!!
We welcomed two new nephews into the Crabtree Family!  So, so happy for my Sister Rebecca and her family who welcomed Peter:

And for my Brother Spence and his family who welcomed Issac:

Even though I feel like I already know both of these boys I can't wait to go home in December and snuggle them.  This summer is the first summer since moving away from home that I haven't been able to go home.  And it is killing me!  Especially with these two cuties waiting so patiently for there favorite Aunt to come! 

Besides the above, this past July we enjoyed time at the Zoo, at the pool when it was warm enough, and anytime we had together.  Barton started moonlighting at a local Dental Clinic.  He works there on weekends when he isn't on call.  It has been hard not to have him around as much on weekends, but it makes our time more valuable when he is here.  We are grateful for this opportunity he has to get some more hours of work in and to have more experience in a different dental setting.  I am so grateful for such a hard working hubby!
