You've Had a Birthday, Shout HOORAY!

The triplets turned 1!

For the past year I have been Nannying the cutest triplets. I am so attached and in love with these three babies. I was there when they came home from the hospital and will be there until I deliver our little girl. The first sixth months I did the night shift so the parents could get some much needed and deserved sleep. In August the babies started sleeping through the night so I switched to the day shift. I never imagined loving kids so much that weren’t related to me. Each one of them has their own beautiful individual personality. It has been so much fun to watch them grow and blossom.

On Saturday night we celebrated the big milestone of their first birthday. Here are some pictures:

A couple pictures of me with the three of them:

Kaitlyn didn’t know what to think. Matt enjoyed it the most. Joshy took one bite of the frosting, had a breakdown and ended up in my arms.

Here are some group shots:

Speaking of birthdays, I had a fabulous one on Friday. It was a great day! Thank you for all of your sweet birthday wishes!

As always, my handsome hubby spoiled me. My favorite part of the day was waking up to this:

Barton told me that he had to wake up at 4:00 AM to study for a test. Well, I totally fell for it. While I was sound asleep dreaming about him he typed up 100 things he loves about me and put them all over the apartment. SO CUTE! I am still finding new ones. He continued to spoil me through out the day.

And yes, our baby girl helped us celebrate too.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

Hi family and friends!  Where has the summer gone?  It seems like we were just getting ready for summer and now fall is in the air.  A lot happened this summer, I wanted to share a few highlights….

Spending time with Krew!  Brandon (Bart’s twin), Diedre, and the boys were here for much of the summer.  We have missed living close to them in Rexburg so it was good to spend time with them on many weekends!

Visit from Mom!  Barton’s mom came to visit for a week.  It is always SO good to see her!  We went swimming, went to the aquarium, had a fun picnic with some of her cousins, etc.  (For those who haven’t met her, she is the pretty lady in yellow).indy 033

Vacation to Indianapolis!  Barton and I had a last sumindy 059mer hurrah to Indiana.  It was SO much fun!  Indianapolis is very tourist friendly.  We wish we could have stayed longer.

There is a canal that goes through the downtown area of Indianapolis.  This is us kayaking on the canal.  It was so pretty!

We not only saw the city by water, but also by land!  this is us on our self guided tandem bike tour of the city.  Probably our favorite part of the trip.

We also went to the State Museum.  It was fun to see all the exhibits!

After a few weeks of summer vacation Barton went back to class the beginning of August.

My getaway to Utah!  With Barton back in school, I took off to see family.  It was so fun and went by way too fast! There were SO many people I wanted to see but ran out of time.  Don’t worry, I will be back for most of December :)  Here are some of the highlights from my trip:

My fabulous little sis. was a director at Oakrest, an LDS girls camp for the summer.  I got to go up and spend the day with her.  It was a blast!  I felt like a superstar, being Lobsterbush’s sister!

We went on lots of picnics including one at the Jordanelle Reservoir.

Celebrating Dad’s birthday!  We went up into the canyons to party it up.  We didn’t let the rain stop our parade! utah 2010 174 utah 2010 138 utah 2010 152

Some much needed sister/cousin time!  One of my favorite things to do is hang out with these girls!  Of course we had to do the traditional frosty and fry run.  utah 2010 209

Where The Wild Things Are

For the 4th of July weekend we ventured to the Louisville Zoo with our nieces and nephew and some friends.  We had so much fun using the maps and finding the different animals with the kids:

Cousins!

Barton and I had the opportunity to spend a few days with two of my cousin’s kids.   It  was so much fun!  We went to the drive-in, the horse track, the swimming pool, did crafts, and played lots on the Wii.  We miss you girls!  Tasia and Whitley 146
