We had a great 3 year anniversary celebrating the happiest day of our lives!
Barton had a big test the next day so we had a wonderful dinner and then spent the night studying. For our anniversary he made me the coolest thing ever……pictures to come later.
This past May we celebrated Barton's 26th Birthday! We were very happy that his birthday was on a Saturday so that we could spend the entire day with each other!
Here are some highlights from our recent adventure to Disneyland....
Being with the Gailey Boys. (We miss them SO much!) Sloan was my new best friend for the week. We did EVERYTHING together! I am going through withdrawal!
Celebrating Mom's Birthday
Lots and lots of rides:
Splash Mountain (Sorry again Josh for putting you in the front:)
The Tiki Room
The scary ferris wheel Preparing happy thoughts for the Peter Pan ride.
Sweets, sweets, and more sweets.
Meeting the different characters. (Being with kids makes it a lot more magical!)
Wow....I am 25! Yes my friends, I have been alive for a quarter of a century. Of course we had to celebrate! What a great birthday! Thanks to all of you for the cards, packages, phone calls, texts, etc! It was a great day. Here is a glimpse of the birthday celebrations...
This was the first birthday that I didn't celebrate at home. Even while living in Idaho we would go home to party each year. So we had to be creative....
We had a party with some of Bart's family Saturday night. Great food and great company!
If you know Barton, you know he LOVES to sing. If you know Barton well, you know he LOVES Brad Paisley! (In fact, his brother even sang a Brad Paisley song at our wedding breakfast). One of Barton's Christmas presents was a pair of tickets to a Brad Paisley concert. We went with our friends Noel and Amber. It was a blast!
In the words of Brad Paisley himself, "It was, Time well wasted and there's no way I'd trade a few more dollars in my pocket I could of spent for a 'date' that I'll never forget! No I, Didn't get a thing done, but I sure soaked up every minute of the memory we were makin'... And I count it all as Time Well Wasted"
Wow….where have the last few months gone?Time has sure gone by fast and a lot has happened.Where to start…..
We moved! We moved into our sixth apartment as a married couple. No, we are not crazy tenants who don’t like to stay in one place very long.In fact, we HATE moving but each move was for a good reason. Here is the list of them all.
Our first apartment: was in Ammon, Idaho.Barton and I were both working in Idaho Falls and we didn’t want to commute from Rexburg. So we lived in Ammon for the summer in a studio apartment. It was fabulous. The apartment was so small that we were always together.
Our second apartment:When our summer jobs came to an end we moved back to Rexburg for education and work purposes.
Our third apartment: Barton did an internship in Moscow, Idaho at the University of Idaho studying the eyes of zebra fish.We put everything in a storage unit, packed up the air mattress and a few essential kitchen utensils and headed north.
Our fourth apartment: Back to Rexburg at the end of Barton’s internship where we continued his education and my employment.
Our fifth apartment: We ventured across country so Bart could become a dentist and moved into a one bedroom apartment that was recommended to us.
Our sixth apartment:Sewer problems led us our latest move, in fact the last move for a long time.It was definitely a blessing in disguise. We went from a one bedroom apartment (that stunk like sewer) to a townhouse.

I am employed again!I am working as a preschool teacher.I have 20 students and 1 assistant teacher. It is often crazy and I am not a fan of paperwork (I have never done so much in my life) but nothing is better than constantly hearing “I love you Ms. Emily”.It is like I have my own fan club.It is quite different then the psychosocial work I did in Rexburg but I am enjoying the kids.

We played mom and dad for a few weeks. Our adorable niece Sarai and nephew Jonas came and lived with us for three weeks. We love them and were happy to have them.We thank all you sweet friends again who helped care for them while I was working.
Last but not least….
Merry Christmas! We hope that you all have a great holiday season. For it is the best time of the year!
